ChatGPT Prompt: “Notes Transformed”
It was like a scene from Mad Max.
Sure, I may not have been battling for gasoline in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
But rest assured that a different form of chaos stared back at me through the screen.
What was I thinking?
At the time I wrote the notes, I felt like I was writing them with the expert precision of a stenographer.
Today, it’s more like trying to decipher the scribbles of a toddler introduced to the magic of crayons.
So, I created a ChatGPT prompt to convert my chaotic notes into a structured outline I could actually make use of.
The offending notes in question were for an article I was going to write on the history of the flannel shirt.
The Original Jumbled Notes:

The ChatGPT Prompt Template I Used:
For you to fill in, copy, and paste 🙂.
“Hi, ChatGPT. Let's work together to convert my jumbled notes into structured and organized notes. Please use the following information to help you create a more coherent and easy-to-understand version of my notes:
Main purpose of the notes: [e.g. for an article/blog post, a book idea, for studying, as a reference, or for a presentation]
Desired format for organized notes: [e.g. bullet points, numbered list, outline, mind map, or paragraphs]
Target audience: [insert, if applicable]
Priority topics or themes (optional): [insert any topics or themes that should be prioritized in the organized notes]
Additional context or background (optional): [anything else that may help in organizing the notes]
Here are the original notes:
[Copy and paste original notes]
The only parameters I filled in were these:

ChatGPT’s Response:
Zoom in if you have to.

There was more further down the screen, but I’m sure you get the point.
These notes are so much more effective. In fact, I’d happily use those sections as H2 subheading ideas for a blog post or article.
Try it out!
And that’s all for today!
See you on Wednesday. I’ll be showing you how to use ChatGPT to respond in your voice and tone, each and every time.
