Tools Of The Day 🛠️

Hemingway: A beautifully simple tool with one purpose:

Making your writing bold, clear, and impactful.

Copy and paste your writing into this free tool.

It’ll analyze the readability of your writing, highlighting complex and dense sentences.

Use case for creators - Any creator would benefit from using it.

Paste your blog posts, your YouTube scripts, and your Tweet threads into it.

A clear and concise creator is more likely to resonate with an audience.

Dubverse: Make your video content multilingual.

An AI tool that can dub your videos or generate subtitles in 30 different languages.

The same videos, just dubbed in Spanish.

It has 22 million subscribers.

With tools such as Dubverse, the average creator can widen their global reach and audience with minimal extra effort.

It’s the future.

Dubverse has a blog post that discusses the impact of multilanguage audio tracks on the creator economy (if you were interested).

Use ChatGPT To Make Your Content More Skimmable

Attention spans are on their way down.

Way down.

Our brains have been Tik-Tokified.

The average person won’t be sticking around to consume your content unless you make things very easy for them.

Written content that’s easy to consume is skimmable.

The main points are easy to immediately identify.

The text flows effortlessly from one section to another.

No walls of text and no rambling.

As a result, readers are more likely to stick around and read the whole thing.

ChatGPT makes my blog posts and newsletters more skimmable in a few different ways:

  • Summarizing the main points so I can include them in a “Key Points” box at the top. The reader gets exactly what they want as soon as they arrive.

  • Converting long paragraphs into bullet points.

  • Converting text into tables.

You don’t want to overdo it.

What you want is variety. Ultimately, variety keeps the reader interested.

A bulleted section, followed by a few short paragraphs, maybe followed by a table, and so on.

Here are the prompts to use for those three tasks:

The “Key Points” Prompt 🤖:

"ChatGPT, I need your assistance in enhancing the skimmability of my [article/blog post].

I want readers to grasp the main points of the content within the first few seconds.

Could you please take the text from my [blog post/article] and create a concise "Key Points" box that I can feature at the beginning of my post?

The box should capture the core ideas and essential takeaways.

Here is the text:

[Insert the relevant text from your blog post/article here]

Here’s an example - ChatGPT made me a Key Points section for the newsletter you’re reading right now.

The Bullet Points Prompt 🤖:

ChatGPT, I would like your assistance in enhancing the skimmability of my [article/blog post].

Please help me transform the following text into a bulleted list:

[Insert the long paragraphs or sections of text that you want to convert into bullet points here]

The Text-To-Table Prompt 🤖:

ChatGPT, I need your assistance in converting text into a table format to improve the organization and skimmability of my [article/blog post].

Please help me transform the following text into a table:

[Insert text]

Note that not all types of text would be suited to table format.

I find that tables work well when you’re listing items and explaining them one by one.

For example, I asked ChatGPT to explain the types of text that would be best suited for conversion into a table.

(Sorry to get so meta).

And asked for the response in table format…

Try it out.

Remember, skimmable content gets read.

Fluffy and rambling content gets tossed aside.

AI can help you remove the fluff from your writing.

Fewer words, higher impact.

AI Bits From The Web 🍬

OK creators, that’s all for today!

See you on Monday 🙂
