AI Tools Of The Day 🛠️

Ittybrief - An free AI-powered tool that creates personalized news briefs tailored to your interests.

It’s like having an assistant browse the web every morning and picking out exactly the right news articles for you.

The tool is ideal for creators who need to stay up-to-date with their niche but don’t want to have a thousand tabs open at once.

Perplexity - An AI-powered search engine.

Imagine if Google gave you direct answers to questions in the form of summaries and citations, instead of just a long list of links.

In many ways, it gives you a glimpse into what the future of online search will eventually look like.

It’s never been this easy to get data-backed answers to problems.

No matter what type of content you create, Perplexity can and should be used to supercharge the research process.

AI Content Tip Of The Day 🖋️

How To Use Glasp To Generate Unique Content Ideas

ChatGPT works pretty well for finding new content ideas.

But I've found something even better.

Here's how to use the free AI Chrome extension Glasp to generate thousands of original ideas (no matter what niche you're in).

(Not sponsored - just a fan).

But first, what exactly is Glasp?

It's a "highlighter for the web". It allows you to highlight snippets of text as you browse.

It then stores your highlights on a pretty dashboard and allows you to tag them by category. A "second brain", as it were.

That’s cool. But there's so much more...

Here's why it's great for generating new ideas:

“Hatching”.

Using AI, the "hatching" feature of Glasp combines ideas from your highlights and connects them in ways you wouldn't have thought of.

It then forms an AI-generated article based on the combination of ideas.

You can either allow Glasp to randomly combine your highlights. Or you can manually provide the highlights you want combined.

Here's an example.

I asked Glasp to “hatch” a new article based on two of my highlights:

  • “The Need To Read” - an article by Paul Graham

  • “Know Your Customers” - an article by Harvard Business Review

The AI-generated article generated by Glasp was great.

“The Power of Understanding and Discovery in Writing and Innovation”.

It combined the ideas contained within the two selected articles and came up with new insights to I could then flesh out.

In other words, new ideas for content based on existing pieces of content.

You can check out the whole article here, but this was the conclusion:

Please don't just regurgitate the AI-generated text.

That's not what it's for.

Use it as a source of inspiration. To connect dots that are seemingly unconnected.

That's all originality really is, in my opinion.

If necessary, be sure to give credit to the original sources.

Try it out. Have fun with it.
