GrammarlyGO

(Not sponsored)

GrammarlyGO is a great way to dip your toes into AI writing.

It’s free up to 100 prompts/month, extremely easy to use, and works with all of your favorite workspace apps (eg. Google Docs, Gmail).

Many of you might already use the Grammarly Chrome extension to edit your writing.

Blog posts, articles, video scripts, etc.

The basic Chrome extension has become an essential tool for so many creators.

(Even if it’s just the free version).

But GrammarlyGO adds generative AI into the mix. It’s a new(ish) addition to the Grammarly experience.

Let’s dig in so you get started with it immediately.

What You Can Do With It đź’Ş

  • Compose, ideate, and rephrase your writing with this little “AI communication assistant”.

  • Discover alternative ways to phrase your writing after choosing the desired tone and formality.

  • Jumpstart any piece of writing by asking for brainstorms and outlines.

  • Summarize and respond to emails with extreme efficiency.

đź’¨ Quickstart Guide

If you haven’t already got one, get started with a free account to get a flavor for it.

This will allow you to use Grammarly (and GrammarlyGO) on the usual Chrome workspace apps.

We’ll use Google Docs in this example.

3. Open up a new Google Doc

Or, choose an existing one.

Highlight some text you want to rewrite.

If you’ve installed and activated the Grammarly Chrome extension, you’ll see a little green light bulb in the bottom right corner.

This is GrammarlyGO.

Click it.

4. Tell it what you want to do with the highlighted text

A box full of prompt ideas will open up when you click the green light bulb (see screenshot below).

There are nearly a thousand ready-made prompts for you to choose from.

Shorten it, turn it into bullet points, make it sound confident, etc.

Alternatively, just type out what you want into the GrammarlyGO text box and it’ll do it.

It’ll rewrite it for you as requested.

If you like it, simply click “Insert” and it’ll replace your existing text with the AI-generated suggestion.

If you don’t like it, choose a different prompt or click “Rephrase” to try again.

Pricing

The number of prompts you get per month depends on the Grammarly plan you’ve got.

  • Free - 100 prompts/month

  • Premium - 1000 prompts/month ($30/month at the time of writing, with discounts on quarterly/annual purchases).

Generate Online Course Names

Creators love making courses.

Digital products are a great additional source of revenue.

They’re also an effective way to educate an audience on a deeper level.

But much like a book title, an attention-grabbing course name could make all the difference.

Pick a boring course name and you risk getting left on the shelf.

Here’s a ChatGPT prompt to generate 10 name ideas for your specific course.

As always, fill in the blanks, copy, paste, and click enter.

You are a online course-naming strategist. Your task is to generate a list of 10 creative names for an online course. The names should be catchy, concise, and reflect the core content and value of the course.

Please take the following into account:

Course Subject or Topic: [eg. digital marketing, yoga for beginners, creative writing]

Target Audience: [eg. small business owners, people looking to improve their fitness, aspiring writers]

Unique Selling Proposition: [eg. practical exercises with real-world examples, incorporating mindfulness, personal feedback on assignments]

Desired Course Name Tone: [eg. professional, friendly, inspiring]

Here’s an example. I asked ChatGPT to generate 10 names for a course teaching yoga to beginners:
