💨 Quickstart Guide

1. Go to namelix.com

You’ll be met with a clean and clear homepage.

In the central text box, enter keywords that are relevant to your business or project.

I’ve used “hot yoga” as an example.

Click “Generate”.

2. Refine your results

You’ll then be asked to select a name style.

Examples:

• Alternate spelling - eg. Lyft, Fiverr

• Compound words - eg. FedEx, Microsoft

• Brandable names - eg. Google, Rolex

And so on.

If you’d rather leave this blank and get a bunch of different types of names, just click “Auto”

You’ll also be asked to select “randomness”.

• Low - less random, more direct.

• Medium - balanced, more creative.

• High - random, more varied.

Finally, add a brief description of your business/project.

Doing so often leads to better results.

3. Review the results

You’ll be taken to a grid view of a bunch of different business names with example logos to boot.

Hover over a name and click “domain registration” if you want to check availability.

Click on any name in the grid and you’ll be taken to a page with other AI-generated logo examples for that name.

If you were looking for a logo, you can edit and purchase one here.

If not, your journey ends at this point.

Limitations

• The AI-generated logos can be fairly basic, but they’re generally of higher quality than most AI logo makers. Ultimately, when you’re just starting out, the logo should be given very little thought in any case.

• Even if a domain is available, it’s important to do a trademark search online to ensure you won’t infringe. Namelix doesn’t do this for you.

• It’s frustrating that Namelix sometimes gives you results where the domain isn’t available. Surely it would be better to just omit these results altogether?
