Stockimg.AI is a tool that allows you to create AI-generated stock images, illustrations, logos, wallpapers, and book covers with ease.

Let’s explore it.

It’s no secret that text-to-image tools have taken the world of content creation by storm.

Wildly impressive AI-generated images are all over the web.

Some people love it, while others call it cheating.

But no matter how you feel about AI-generated art, it’s worth understanding the tools.

They’re likely to play a huge role in the future of content.

Having said that, the trouble with tools like Midjourney is the learning curve.

Midjourney requires setting up a Discord server and getting to grips with its prompting language.

It isn’t complicated, but it isn’t exactly easy.

Enter: StockIMG

It has a user-friendly interface.

It looks and feels like the stock photo sites we’re all used to (eg. Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, etc).

It allows you to get started with AI-generated images without meddling around with Discord servers, complex prompts, or anything else.

Because of how easy it is to use, it’s quickly become one of the most popular AI image-generation tools out there.

A quick note:

At the end of the day - it’s AI.

Sometimes, the AI in image-generation tools like StockImg and Midjourney may unintentionally create images that look similar to existing work.

This could potentially lead to copyright issues/DMCA takedown requests. The future of copyright and AI-generated art is uncertain.

It’s something I’m cautious of when determining how to use these images (and you should be too).

This issue is mentioned in their Terms Of Service - it’s worth reading through this to make sure you’re happy with it.

đź’¨ Quickstart Guide

2. Select the style of image you want from the available options

3. Type in your prompt

The beauty of it is that you can use plain English. As mentioned earlier, you don’t need to use a specific prompting language.

Just type in what you want to see.

The more detailed you can be, the better your response will generally be.

Use Cases For Creators ⚒️

📝 Bloggers and Writers: Use AI-generated stock images and illustrations to enrich written content.

🎥 Video Editors: Enhance video overlays and thumbnails with AI-generated art.

đź’Ľ Business Owners: Create professional branding materials, presentations, and marketing campaigns with AI-generated images.

📱 Social Media Creators: Elevate social media content with visually striking images.

Limitations 👎️

  • You’ll probably need to experiment with your prompts to get the image you’re looking for. It may not always align with your creative vision.

  • I find that certain categories work better than others. For example, book covers and illustrations are very impressive, while logos are lacking and are generally inferior to those you can DIY on Canva.

Pricing 💰️

  • Full details here.

  • Their “Free Plan” is really nothing more than a single image credit, as mentioned earlier. It’s worth using it to give you a flavor for the tool.

  • The Starter Plan ($19/month) gives you unlimited image credits for use in the 7 different categories.
